Facts about Autism
The exact cause of autism is unknown and is currently an area of active research. Some possible causes that have been suspected but not yet proven are diet, mercury poisoning, the bodies' inability to properly use vitamins and minerals, and sensitivities to vaccines. Some characteristics of people with the condition are having a sensitivity to anything that appeals to the senses, become uncomfortable when routines are changed, perform repeated body movements, and they may show an unusual attachment to certain objects. These symptoms may be moderate or severe depending on the case. Autism effects about 1 in every 88 children and boys are just about 5 times more likely to have autism. People with autism tend to be antisocial for they're not able to have great conversations or interact very well with others. They're also not great at subjects like english or learning a foreign language. However, they tend to excel in subjects like math and science, which is one aspect of autism that is commonly overseen by others.
The other side
Most people may just consider autism to be a learning disability when they have no idea how an autistic mind works. People with autism generally have minds that remember detailed pictures, pictures in such detail that they can even read sections of text in their head that they have previously seen elsewhere.
